Ohhhhh the birthday//anniversary fun that is the last week of August and first week of September. So much to celebrate and be happy about! And so much cake! :)
Last year Tyler surprised the heck out of me with this, so I figured this year, I should try my best to make his birthday and our anniversary super special. He's been down for the count the last month or so with some pretty bad back problems (sad face) which I think we may have just solved. So thankful for that.
Anyhow. My birthday was spent shopping (my favorite) and eating yummy food (also my favorite). Tyler also got me a white porch swing for our front porch so I can sit with the baby (or I suppose right now, my baby belly). I am so excited to spend summer evenings out there reading or playing with baby boy. I hate to go on and on about presents, since I frankly think we're getting to old to be making lists and all that silliness, but I did get the sweetest gift from my friend....those cute little owl salt and pepper shakers (among a few other fun goodies!). They are perfect!
For Tyler's birthday the next weekend//our anniversary, we did all of Tyler's favorite things. Ate pizza, watched football, went to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the new casino in Cleveland annnnnnnnd the air show. I was exhausted by Monday but it was worth it, he was totally surprised! We also stayed the night in Cleveland at a pretty hotel and ate breakfast in bed and played games. It was really nice to be away from our house (and our long to-do list) for a little while. It was a great weekend, just the two of us.
Now we're back. And guess what. This girl just emptied out an entire room for our little one, oh my. To-do list? Piece of cake. :)
Only 2 1/2 months to go!!!!!!
