my four legged housemates

These are my goofballs. Both sitting in the tiny doggie bed.

Other things I love about them, in no specific order.

Letting them in from outside when it's been raining....they say their hellos and then the house is suspiciously quiet five minutes later. Because of course they are upstairs drying themselves off on our bedsheets and napping on our pillows. Playing in the rain is hard work.

That they compete for my attention most specifically when the cat has decided to sit next to me.

And I maybe think my little Evie only really loves me lately because I am eating more often and can sometimes be a bit messy. Don't think I haven't noticed her increased affection during mealtimes. Nope.

Or the fact that there has been increased barking out the front window specifically to women with strollers or small children. Like they are make a point of saying "No children here! None wanted! Go away!" Boy are they in for a surprise.

The utter excitement that ensues when one mentions the word "walk" or "treat" (I am worried just typing that out) because they are just so smart. And then they ice skate terribly all over the wood floor in their anticipation to move as fast as doggy possible.

And of course their little puppy dog faces that need attention and affection and cuddles so much of the time. They are such a special little pair. I can't wait for baby to meet them and love them too. These doggies...they sure are my favorite no matter what. Muddy paw prints on my sheets and all:)
