a shower for baby

This past weekend my mom and sister hosted a little shower for baby boy. It was so much fun catching up with family and friends and opening all of those precious little things that baby will have fun using in the next few months. Kinda surreal actually.
But as far as baby showers go, I feel pretty darn blessed. My parents did a lot of work to make it all come together and my sister stayed up until three am the night before to make me homemade pumpkin bacon mini quiches. SO GOOD.
Plus that cake....ohmygosh. I didn't even want to cut it, it was so cute! It matched my invitation set perfectly! ((Thank you to Kelli Murray for making them beauuuuutiful and West Side Bakery for making my cake delicious!))
My mom handknit these super adorable fruit hats for the fruit and veggie table. I can't wait to put that blueberry one on baby boy. Eeeep!
We asked each guest to fill out a little card with a note or wish for baby. Tyler and I did this at our wedding and have fun looking through all of them from time to time. I can't wait to read all of them to our little guy, he is so loved already!

And kudos to the husband for having the "we're pregnant take our photo" pose down. He's such a good guy, Im so happy he stayed to open gifts and thank our family and friends. Made the day all that more special! :)

Now...just four weeks to go!

  1. This is really sweet! I love how it's not all BLUE BLUE BLUE everywhere and pretty gender neutral. This room is very nice, was it at a venue? Best wishes to you both, Renee!
